Gabriella and Woodney married on July 23, 2011. The heat that day was unbearable, so last minute Gabriella changed her Bridal Hair Style. Her hair was styled by Rita with a beautiful braid and soft curls low on her nape. This was accented by a Bird Cage Veil. Make up was done by Mari both of My Cinderella's Dream

One of the most important finishing touches on a wedding ceremony is the bride’s hair and makeup. It’s a very personal subject, requiring a sharp understanding of the art. Mari Milani (pictured at work) and Rita Longo form My Cinderella’s Dream, a Caldwell, New Jersey-based bridal hair and makeup team that also designs its own line of hair accessories called The Crystal Chignon. Mari has donated her makeup services for our engagement photo sweepstakes, running through March.

The company’s work has been recognized by WeddingWire.com and TheKnot.com, as well as Contemporary Bride magazine. Mari, a MAC professional who offers traditional and airbrushed makeup, believes in fairy tail endings, thus the name of her company. She also believes in fate and recalls one particular chance encounter that led to a day of true romance.

Mari had met the bride Lauren in the emergency room after Mari’s mother had a serious anxiety attack. Lauren, the nurse on duty, was to be married on 10/10/10 and ended up using My Cinderella’s Dream for her hair and makeup, including the bridal party, mom and mother-in-law.

“We stood in this beautiful home that her husband, a contractor, had built for her,” said Mari. “Their wedding was at Laurita Winery in a big field of sunflowers and grapevines. They arrived on a wagon filled with barrels of New Jersey wine. Lauren was truly a modern Cinderella, and her Prince did come.”

It's sometimes nice to hear someone other than a Bride singing praises of you on the many review boards and so, I have attached a note from Kristin's Mom, Barbara who actually was one of the many wonderful Mom's we got to meet!!

How can I ever thank you for making ME, the mother, feel like the Bride??? I have never had so many compliments in my life! Everyone said my hair and makeup never looked better. I felt like a million dollars especially when my husband said I was the most beautiful woman at the wedding...except for my daughter, of course! She looked magnificent as did her bridesmaids....you both did such an amazing job and were so sweet and kind to work with. I wish you all the success. I will recommend you to everyone I know!!! Rita and I are so excited about everything that is happening lately - that we just had to share it. Let's start in late Spring when Weddingwire acquired Project Wedding. We were invited to join the Weddingwire Team as a Featured Account and Beauty Pro. Well....the emails started and then the phones and Brides started to book Trials/Weddings and omg we thought, this is Awesome!! We have received wonderful heartfelt reviews from some of the most amazing Brides and little hand written notes from Mothers of Brides. We are up and down the state of New Jersey and New York City. We have met such wonderful families of all different Religions and Cultures. We are redesigning our Website and have added Hair Accessories to our Bridal Collection!! The Hair Accessories are beautiful beaded pins and tiny jeweled clips that will accessorize many different looks. Bridal flowers have been strategically placed in the Hair, Bird-Cage Veils pinned so elegantly and lets not forget Make-up!! Being MAC Pro's we have expanded our line. Airbrushing and Traditional make up is only one aspect of the Total Look!! Our Brides today are so different from one another. The many Cultures and Traditions have us continuously being educated. From Traditional Chinese Weddings, where the Brides wear their traditional red dress and then change into a Wedding gown along with a change of make up - to an Indian Wedding where Sari's are worn and jewels are placed around the Brides brow line.

We were featured in The Knot Magazine along with Gabelli Studio's and the Event Planner of our Aug.,2009 Bride Marianna. We have been busy Networking with many Vendors such as Maria from The Englewood Womens Club, Katherine from Crossed Keys Inn and talented Photographers such as Manish Mavani from Photographs by Manish, James and Alice from Funico Studios NYC, Florists such as Debbie Pendolino from Where Flowers Bloom and the recent connection with Julie Conley from Warren Country Events who works closely with "E" and "Style Network - Whose Wedding Is it Anyway".

Wedding Vendor Review: My Cinderella’s Dream

Here’s a confession: I’ve never had my hair or makeup done before. Yes, it’s true. At the tender age of 26, I’d never gone to a salon to have hair or makeup done for an event. So, needless to say, choosing someone to take care of this on one of the most photographed days of my life was a big deal. However, I’m happy to say I chose the best two ladies in the business!
I found My Cinderella’s Dream where else but TheKnot.com. I got in touch with Mari who I liked right off the bat. She provided all the information I needed in a timely fashion to make the best decision possible. At the time, I wasn’t sure about makeup, and Mari never pressured me to add this as a service, which I appreciated. Her prices were fair, and she wasn’t going to charge me a fee to come to The Madison Hotel to help us out! Furthermore, her son went to Susquehanna, so it was pretty much a match made in heaven!

Getting my hair done and my makeup touched up!

I had my bridal trial with Mari in December. She was so wonderful and patient with me. I had just switched jobs, so I ended up having to reschedule my trial and had to leave early the day she came to get back to work, but Mari got the job done quickly, efficiently, and exactly how I imagined it! By this time, I had decided to go with makeup, so I scheduled a makeup trial with her partner, Rita. Rita did a great job listening to my fears that my makeup would look too heavy. We had a great trial, and even later when I emailed Mari to ask if the eyes could be a bit lighter day of, Mari and Rita understood and were very accommodating.
The day of the wedding, we had a blast getting hair and makeup done! I had booked a conference room at the hotel so we’d have lots of room. Mari and Rita went right to work at 6:30 and we were all camera ready by around 9:15! There were 8 of us that needed hair done, and I was the only one that had makeup. I couldn’t believe how quick they worked! All of my girls were very pleased with how things came out. My mom even remarked that she’d never seen someone take a picture of a hairstyle and replicate it on someone’s hair. All of my bridesmaids got compliments on how great their hair looked-even from the guys, who hardly notice that stuff! Finally, everyone kept remarking on how natural my makeup looked, which was exactly what I had wanted!

Mari and Rita and truly a dream to work with. From the trial to the wedding day, I couldn’t have asked for a better group of ladies to help me and my girls look fantastic on my wedding day. Thanks so much, Mari and Rita!

Cindy got our name from a friend and loved the whole concept of the True Cinderella's Dream, she gave us a call and we met with her. It was an instant connection. We provided her with hair and make up services as well as her entire wedding party of 10!!
